As safety manager, I ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA regulations and company policies, as well as train new and existing employees and maintain a safe working environment for all of our employees. Why did you enlist in the military? To serve our country and protect our freedoms the same way many of my other family members have. Why did you choose this career path? I was raised in a logging family in Alabama and have always loved trucks, and so this was an easy decision for me to make. Can you describe how you got your job? I applied at Reddaway after speaking to several of their drivers and learning how great of a company it is and how well they take care of their drivers. What worked best in your job search? Persistence in actively pursuing this job was the best thing. During your search, what aributes of a potenঞal job were of most value to you? Location, work/life balance and company values. Being able to have more time at home with my family was an important concern. I also like how the company operates and how the employees are treated and taken care of. Best advice for transiঞoning service members? Find a company that values military experience as well as family time. SERGEANT TODD M.
