32 G.I. JOBS | NOVEMBER 2018 | GIJOBS.COM CONNECTING THE COMMUNITY Military Influencer Conference connects influencers in the military and veteran space. INFLUENCERS IN THE MILITARY and veteran communities spent several days in late September growing their brands and businesses during the second annual Military Influencer Conference in Orlando, Fla. Veteran and military spouse business owners, bloggers, writers, social media influencers, brand ambassadors, non-profit representatives and entrepreneurs learned from dozens of well-known speakers during the event, including Jim Koch, founder of Sam Adams Brewery; Tony Perez, co- founder of Sucuri; Jared Taylor of Black Rifle Coffee; and Janine Boldrin, managing editor of G.I. Jobs' sister publication, Military Spouse magazine. "With 418 veteran and military spouse entrepreneurs, influencers and brand representatives in attendance, the impact of getting this group together was immediate and apparent in the relationships forged and the opportunities created to collaborate," said Curtez Riggs, founder of the Military Influencer Conference. "More importantly, this year's theme was 'Build. Grow. Give Back.' The commitment of the attendees to continue to pour their passion back into our community will be far- reaching. The impact will be felt for years to come." SPECIAL OPS MICORLANDO Photos by Mark Harper Janine Boldrin, managing editor of G.I.
